Privacy notice
This notice explains how The Essentials of Management processes personal data when you request access to the course hosted for learning purposes.
What we collect
- Your email address (learner identifier)
- Consent and privacy-acceptance timestamps
- Session and access events (e.g. link issued, link used, OTP challenges)
- Technical signals hashed for security (IP hash, user agent) to detect sharing
- Learning analytics tied to your profile: lesson views, lesson completions, practice completion metadata (exercise type and scores where applicable), 90-day plan field-filled flags, and calendar ritual toggles
- A synced workbook snapshot (including practice artefacts and plan text) so you can revisit progress across devices — free-text content is stored for your use and is not shown on operator dashboards
- Optional module-hub peer contributions: anonymous pulse answers, challenge tags (and optional short phrases where allowed), tips you choose to post, and tip reactions. Aggregates are shown to other authenticated learners without naming you; tips are visible to peers until you delete them or they are hidden after reports
Why we process it
- To send you a personal access link and verification codes
- To keep the course behind authenticated sessions
- To reduce casual forwarding of access links
- To sync your progress to your learner profile
- To support course-operator analytics (cohort funnel, completion rates, and per-learner progress metadata) for improving the course
- To enable structured peer learning in each module hub (cohort mirrors and optional tips) and to moderate reported tips
Who can see progress analytics
You can see your own progress in the workbook. The course operator may view aggregated cohort metrics and per-learner progress metadata (for example email, last activity, lessons and practices completed). The operator dashboard does not display your free-text practice answers or 90-day plan prose. Peer tips you post in a module hub are visible to other learners in that hub; pulse and challenge aggregates are anonymous. Reported tips may be reviewed and hidden by the operator.
Retention
We keep your learner profile and related access/learning records for one year after your last use of the course. After that period, records are eligible for deletion. Each return visit refreshes the retention window.
Access control and link sharing
Access emails contain a one-time link. Opening it creates a session on that browser. If the link is opened again (for example after forwarding), the recipient must complete an email verification code challenge — codes are sent only to the registered address.
Your choices
You can stop using the course at any time. Hub pulse and challenge answers are optional; tips are optional and you can delete your own tips. You can report a peer tip for review. To request deletion of your learner record before the retention period ends, contact the course operator at the address used to send access emails.
